In the order taken :) Heh, was Kris' official photographer too because she forgot to bring her cam ...
Kris: You wanna save the photos from here? Or would you prefer the originals?

Law Ball 2007!
Law Ball was held @ Meritus Mandarin this year which was good because the food was pretty alright .. the best thing is that the dinner was free because the deanery subsidised us!!! Haha ... the original price was $60/person. Lucky Law Ball Committee because before that, not that many people were actually planning to go. But anyway, after dinner ... all headed to Butter Factory for a fun night out ... Sweetie met up with us there, and we bumped into some people going all the way back to our early days.
Major photo taking session for most people ... Ooooooo, can't believe I'm graduating soon (hopefully). Ok, photos in the next entry when I've more time to wait for the photos to be uploaded.

Family
Ever wondered how much you'd miss your family if you didn't have them around you?
I think too many of us tend to take the constant nagging, the incessant bickering and the never ending worrying for granted... =) You most probably think the topic's cliche, its old news, but just sit still and think back to all the times your family has been there for you, and in spite of all your differences, your siblings are people you'd bet your life on for all their faults...
I've always loved my two brothers and my parents growing up all these years, and I can't help but feel just maybe this time round visiting them in Perth, where the whole family was together in one place for a long time that I'm coming back to them after a long hiatus...
I actually like eating (ok, maybe not LIKE per se, rather not mind it) BROWN RICE now, which is a staple the rest of my family has been partaking of for the past 7 years??!! And i've only just come to taste! ha, I do almost feel like a long lost relative at times... My two brothers are so grown up now, one's 20, 2nd year uni student, the youngest is 18, coming of age, just finished with BMT. Both are going thru their rough and tumbles with girlfriends, meetings, friends, etc. And I just think i'd have loved to have been a bigger part of all that growing up that they've done so far. I listen to their tales of going to prom, asking girls out, their first parties, drinking, clubbing, dates, fighting for possession of the car, I can't help but feel I've never had to share too much of my own experiences with the two of them!
My fondest memory of my two lil bros are rainy days at our house in the East Coast, sitting on the side patio inches from the garden grass and watching the ground start to get water-logged. We'd just sit there, the three of us, 10, 6,4 and eat cookies which I rationed out to each and every one. SOMEBODY had to be the boss! =)
I hope we'll grow old close, and I hope we'll never fight the way some families do and not talk to the other for years on end. I do hope our kids will grow up together, and I do hope we'll always be able to lean on each other for the years to come.
They won't be reading this, but this is a reminder to myself to not forget them again...

Perth photo galore
Got back from Perth last night .. heh, ended up skipping ICF in the end. Ah well ... it was great fun though!! Not as boring as I expected .. More tired than I thought I'd be. :) Many many photos, some courtesy of Mark, sweetie's bro who is an awesome photographer. Just to upload some for all to enjoy *grinz*
Ups: Vacation vacation! Got to see Dan's mum again after 9 years and she was really nice .. bought my family nearly 5 kg of beef fillet & apple strudel. We lost an unspeakable sum at the Burswood casino BUT we camped there on the last night & made it all back ..with a net gain of $5!!!!! *hugh sigh of relief* .. or I would have come back a very grumpy lady.
Downs: Extremely hot weather of 36 degrees beating down on my shoulders; Sweetie's ex is going mad on him - she reports her whereabouts to him; accuses him of ignoring her (when she effectively banned him from talking to me while they were still together) & not being able to get over their failed r/ship; sends drunk smses; WORST OF ALL, she says she hopes I don't mind being 2nd rated. *ouch ... rolls my eyes* Then she goes on to talk about the cool lawyer chef guy she's now dating (aren't lawyers not allowed to hold other jobs?), with "good prospects" .. Eh, like who's interested (definitely not sweetie or me)?? Hope she's the 1st gf of her next bf (or gf) or else she'll be "2nd rated". Bur ... ironically, I was his ex before her ... Sigh~ the spitefulness and vengeance of women. Okay, pls excuse my bitching for its my only outlet ... I've to "keep my cool" haha .. Sean, listen to you la .. Anyway, photo time!!
Oh, sorry guys, I didn't buy your nougats and machadamia nuts ... Hehe ... I didn't really shop at all. Next time okie ??
*update* omg .. panic attack. Jon just msned me about ICF securitisation exercise. Haha, damn .. need to go down to school tomorrow to collect the questions.

Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships
Contemplating staying another day or two so that I'll be able to catch the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships held @ Scarborough Beach. Just for the fun of it since I'm going to be there anyway... Wonder whether there'll be all those pro surfers.

Empty Promises
hey the world! BONGIORNO!
heh, its still abit of a novelty to come out here and write posts, letters, soul-sharing experiences to seemingly everybody and nobody all at once. its almost unnerving to be able to so easily have an outlet for every pore in your body, be it joys, mundane happenings or angst at the world.
well! i've let the blog down with an empty promise about sharing more about cycling, but you know, i don't quite think it'd be quite so interesting hearing about how we go up and down hills in singapore till we get dizzy, get faint, puke all over the grass, require our coach to lay down mats on the grass so we can postulate all over before crawling back onto our bikes to roll down the hill and do it all over again. And neither do i think itd be good to bare all the dirty talk that we cyclists inevitably get up to when we spend so many hours on the roads with each other in such close proximity only clad in tight bright lycra...
anyhows! think my serious racing days are actually reaching a twilight. i took me a while to come to terms with my decision, but i'm definately stepping into a new chapter of my life right now, and its time to drop some dreams and come to settle for achievable realities. i'll be starting my own bike shop soon! ms hot pink's been good with coming up with catchy names for the shop, haha, so if it eventually sounds horrible, pls direct all blame at her, tel number: 98**4 2*2...
it'll be another challenge to try do what my passion lies in, but to earn my keep, bring the bacon home, put the bread on the table, etc, etc ,etc. its been crazy days of doing countless viewings of shops, talking to a whole array of agents who seemingly are as diverse as the fish of the sea, ones who wake up at 6, call you at 7 and expect you to be at the place by 8, and others who let the world pass you by and ask for heaven and earth for their proud miserable dirtholes... i'm sure they've been totally turned-off by us though, heh, we've seen former bank branches covering a sprawling 4500sq feet, only a miserly $9,000 in rental of course, complete with bank vaults and unimpregnable 3 foot thick stainless steel doors! i'm sure they'll hear from us soon enough... =)
in the meantime though, we're off to Perth! haven't caught the family there for almost 8 months now, so it'll be good to catch an autumn barbie, chill at the huge beaches south and soak in some fresh air. it'll definately be time to be treasured with the work to come ahead... till next! ciao~

: P
So sorry for the stagnant blog .. Haha, what a particular Tim said on Sat awoke me from my deep slumber and I've decided to continue doing my "public service" ... for now at least. :) Anyway, I'm still amazed by the fact that 8 out of 8 members of my ICF group are somewhat mj fans. Thus what naturally followed after our ICF meeting at Ah Li's house (food haven), was a mj session. Haha, boosted my income by $5. But apart from mj (which I'm somehow feeling not THAT interested in as of late), ICF is starting to bug me endlessly. What with presentations every single week ... BUR~
Ok, but I shall put ICF behind me because ... I'm going to Perth this weekend. Heehee, for a mini weekend trip. I know ... Why Perth? I personally find it rather boring ... But sweetie's family happens to be there and he wants to go back to visit them (his mummy in particular). So, I'm actually just tagging along .. :) But there isn't space in the apt so we're going to be staying in the city centre .. which is all cool. It's going to be for 3D3N only anyway.
So, to ICF peeps, I'm sorry if we've to meet up for a presentation preparation this weekend because I'm not going to be around. But I highly doubt it anyway because we haven't had any lessons to present on .. thankfully.
