MUDDY SUNDAY!

Lycra Man's been slacking on his posts, too many groggy mornings and too many distractions by ms pinky! anyhoos, i'll share more of my cycling racing life here, just for you to get a taste of what we lycra and spandex boys are up to everytime we say we're gonna hit the road or the trial...

Running the bike over the mud

Had a Mountain Bike race last Sunday at the new and improved Tampines MTB track (corner of Ave 7 and Ave 9 if you're interested!) and did the Elite Cat., all too easy, only 6 laps of the 5ish km loop you say! Had spa treatments galore.... Mud bath, Saliva Masks, Grass/Gravel Exfoliation (aka crash and burn), Vibration Therapy (All natural rocks and ruts of course!). But yeah, it hurt so bad, running the bike over the unrideable sections, panting like a dog spinning that stupid tiny gear because of the all the mud and then where it was flat or downhill, no time to breathe, just pound away harder coz you've got a chance to go faster!
I Loved Every Minute of It... *big grin* I threw the bike so far away from me after crossing the line a measly 5th, but, you just simply never get enough of the andrenalin rush of competing. Enough mucking around with the MTB for this year though, long boring road rides await, I can't wait to share when we hit the road racing overseas...

Groggy Monday Mornings

Waking up in the morning's always a pain in the ass... A quick glance at the clock hanging on the wall, and all I know is that it's always too damn early! All I wanna do is roll back into the sheets, and continue my lovely escapades in lala land... -sigh- WELL! next time someone bugs you to get out of bed immediately, throw THIS in their FACE!

"The human cerebral cortex is 2-4 mm (0.08-0.16 inches) thick and plays a central role in many complex brain functions including memory, attention, perceptual awareness, "thinking", language and consciousness." courtesy of wiki wiki wiki pedia, thank ya very much, and studies have suggested that 10-15 minutes upon waking up, your cerebral cortex takes that amount of time to 'come online'. SOOOOO.... there's no point in getting up that early if ya ain't fully functional right? and if you ain't fully functional, you might as well just laze in bed and wait for the engine to get nice warm and ready for the day! the way i see it, its like your car that you've left overnight, if you take care of it, you won't just start it cold, with the air-conditioning left to high and drive straight out...

then again! it most certainly is monday morning as well, and the mourning of the weekend that has past is never an easy thing to get over so quick so soon. i'm off to another week! we'll post some pics on the weekend ASAP when we get the damn camera plugged in.

ciao!

Bloated pink

After last night's mega a-la carte buffet, I'm sworn off them. Thks to Lycra man (whom I've been having daily escapades with for the past 58 days) who chauffeured us home - mother ended up sleeping at the back whilst I just sat there willing my tummy to settle. Have to admit though, for those who're interested in stuffing themselves, it's a pretty decent buffet @ $32.80+++ (Paramount Hotel), with a minimum of 4 people. There's salmon sashimi, cheese oyster, scallops, soft-shell crab, etc ... and a rather long list of chinese desserts to choose from!!! *yum yum* And I managed to catch Step Up before it closes!!!! Love all these dance movies ..
On another note, I screwed up my 8 credit paper which everyone else found oh so easy. All thanks to my dream of becoming Wimbledon champ (nobody who has seen me play laugh) ... and many other factors of course. Serves me right for not studying more. Bur~ Evidence, die!

Birth

Its probably something everybody thinks to do sometime in their neurotic time alone, or when a good buddy bugs you long enough to share your irrelevant stories with the world (if anybody's LISTENING!?), or in this case, finding someone who's decided she wants to blurt the random and the eventful for anyone who cares to share our experiences.

WELCOME! to pink lycra and the WORLD of TOMORROW! i'm lycra man, she's ms eye candy, drop by and see/listen/read about the DISGUSTING amounts of food we eat at buffets, our travels around the world, our daily hustle and bustle and of course, our innermost, darkest secrets... *eerie scary movie background music*

CATCH YA AROUND!
