Running the bike over the mud
Had a Mountain Bike race last Sunday at the new and improved Tampines MTB track (corner of Ave 7 and Ave 9 if you're interested!) and did the Elite Cat., all too easy, only 6 laps of the 5ish km loop you say! Had spa treatments galore.... Mud bath, Saliva Masks, Grass/Gravel Exfoliation (aka crash and burn), Vibration Therapy (All natural rocks and ruts of course!). But yeah, it hurt so bad, running the bike over the unrideable sections, panting like a dog spinning that stupid tiny gear because of the all the mud and then where it was flat or downhill, no time to breathe, just pound away harder coz you've got a chance to go faster!
I Loved Every Minute of It... *big grin* I threw the bike so far away from me after crossing the line a measly 5th, but, you just simply never get enough of the andrenalin rush of competing. Enough mucking around with the MTB for this year though, long boring road rides await, I can't wait to share when we hit the road racing overseas...
